Panyapiwat Institute of Management Holds Welcome Meeting for LVTC’s Teachers to Conduct Training in Thailand

From News Center (Text by Zhu Qiong, Chen Lichuang from School of Automotive Engineering, photos by Chen Lichuang from School of Automotive Engineering) On March 4, 2022, two teachers named Chen Lichuang and Luo Hongbo from the engineering machinery team of Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College (LVTC) went to Thailand to conduct a one-month faculty training in Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM). This was done to support the improvement of global services of Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. (LiuGong for short).

On March 8, PIM held a meeting in its Conference Room 4-1503 to welcome LVTC’s two teachers and He Haifeng, LiuGong’s technician, to participate in the training for engineering machinery major it launched. At the meeting, they discussed and optimized the training plan and content formulated in the early stage to ensure efficient and smooth training progress. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Siam Choksawangwong, PIM’s executive vice president, heads of related organizations and departments, and representatives of teachers.

Mr. Siam Choksawangwong presided over the meeting. He first expressed gratitude to LVTC and LiuGong for sending personnel to participate in the training afar amidst the serious pandemic and spoke highly of the cooperation achievements the three parties jointly achieved in the early stage. Then he continued his speech with introductions to PIM’s overview, engineering construction projects that CP Group is implementing, and analysis of the demand for engineering machinery professionals in the construction engineering field of Thailand in the next few years. He showed great confidence in the training of engineering machinery professionals in PIM with the help of the Chinese side. He expected the cooperation among the three parties can enable PIM to develop the ability in professional training and vocational training in the direction of engineering machinery. He highly anticipated the faculty training and wished this training a complete success.

Later, LVTC’s teachers Chen Lichuang and Luo Hongbo introduced their work in their respective professional fields and shared how they felt to carry out educational exchanges and faculty training. In addition, they also introduced some new progress in cooperation between LVTC and LiuGong, as well as LVTC’s preparation for the training, such as the development of teaching materials, organization and guarantee, handling of affairs of visiting Thailand, pandemic prevention and control for teachers going abroad, curriculum setting, training content, and teaching arrangements. He Haifeng introduced LiuGong’s overseas development in his eyes and the overview of his work life.

The participants freely shared their ideas and opinions on the curriculum setting, course content, training mode, teaching methods, and teaching time, and finally reached a consensus on a more scientific and reasonable training arrangement. At the meeting, a book donation ceremony was held, in which LVTC and LiuGong jointly presented English engineering machinery training materials and vocational training books to PIM. On behalf of PIM, Mr. Siam Choksawangwong presented souvenirs with Thai style and logo of PIM to LVTC and LiuGong. On behalf of LVTC, Mr. Chen Lichuang gave back souvenirs with the characteristics of the Dong ethnic group in Liuzhou to PIM.
