LVTC Indonesia SMA Kristen Immanuel Pontianak Online Chinese Training Course Opened

From News Center (Text by Zuo Yingzi, Office of International Exchange, Photo by Zhang Jinyezi and Wei Linhua, Office of International Exchange)In response to the new situation of international education in the context of regular pandemic prevention and control, LVTC and Indonesia Emmanuel High School held an online video conference on April 11 to discuss the cooperation between the two sides and sign a cooperation agreement. On the morning of September 3, 2022, Indonesia Emmanuel High School Chinese training course was successfully launched online. Wei Linhua, Director of LVTC Office of International Exchange, Wang Xinzhi, Chief of Foreign Affairs Section, and Chinese Teachers for Foreigners Gan Yu and Zuo Yingzi attended the opening ceremony. Deng Xiaoling, a representative of Indonesian teachers, and 28 students of the Chinese training course attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, both sides said that this cooperation can provide students with high-quality learning and exchange opportunities, help students to understand the social culture of different regions in China, strengthen their understanding of Chinese and Chinese culture, and further enhance the exchanges and mutual learning between the two sides.

Located in Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia, Indonesia Emmanuel High School is a famous high school dominated by Chinese students. According to the agreement between the two sides, LVTC will offer online Chinese courses, and students can continue to apply for LVTC as degree students after graduating from high school. Scholarship will also be provided for outstanding students, and students will be fully supported to come to China in the post-epidemic era.

The cooperation between LVTC and Indonesia Emmanuel High School is an important exploration of LVTC's active international cooperation and exchanges during the period of regular epidemic prevention and control, an attempt to establish a stable student base and continuously expand the enrollment scale of international students in the post-pandemic era, a chance to accumulate experiences of making full use of the Internet and online platforms to continuously expand the channels and methods of international exchange, and also a satisfactory answer to the challenges and responses to LVTC's policy of education opening up to the outside world, and educational opening-up amidst the pandemic.
